CRC: CENTRALISING INCORPORATION

MCA vide its notification dated 23.03.2016 introduced phase-II of its idea of centralising the process of incorporation in India by bringing into the ambit of CRC (Central Registration Center) processing and disposal of e-forms and all related matters pertaining to registration of companies in India.

In its previous notification dated 22.01.2016 CRC was established for processing applications filed for "reservation of name". With the latest notification which is effective from 28.03.2016 CRC shall takeover the role of respective Jurisdictional RoCs as far as the process of incorporation is concerned. Consequently e-forms INC-1, INC-7, INC-29, INC-22, DIR-12 (filed at the time of incorporation) and URC-1 shall be processed by CRC itself. However, after incorporation the respective RoCs shall have jurisdiction for all other provisions of the Companies Act, 2013 and the rules made thereunder.

About CRC:

  • Established vide MCA notification dated 22.01.2016 with effect from 26.01.2016
  • Has territorial jurisdiction all over India
  • RoC Delhi is the Registrar of the CRC until a separate Registrar is appointed by the Govt.
  • It is located at Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA), Plot No. 6,7, 8, Sector 5, IMT Manesar, District Gurgaon (Haryana), Pin Code-122050
  • It discharges the function of processing and disposal of e-forms and all related matters pertaining to registration of companies in India.
